Our Journey

Wilbert and Sandra Williams were saved in 1981. They were reared under the leadership of Pastor John Jackson of the Holy Tabernacle of Jesus Christ in Danville, Virginia. Wilbert and Sandra grew in the grace of the Lord and later served as a Deacon and Deaconess until moving to New Bern, North Carolina in 1985. After moving to New Bern, they began working with Pastor Darryl Thomas of Universal Faith Church. Wilbert held the office as chairman Deacon and Sandra was Sunday School Superintendent. They worked faithfully with Universal Faith Church for four years and departed in 1989 to heed the calling that was on their lives.

In 1989, God called them to the evangelistic ministry. Through the leading of the Holy Ghost, Bishop William Waddell of True Way Deliverance Church of Danville, Virginia ordained Wilbert and Sandra as evangelists. Bishop Waddell was very supportive of their early ministry. The Spirit led Wilbert into the book of Psalms 119: 43 to name the ministry:  (And Take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth). Wilbert and Sandra held their first tent revival service in Cove City, North Carolina. Later they evangelized towns such as Grifton, Vanceboro, New Bern, Fort Barnwell, and Trenton, North Carolina. They also had a weekly radio broadcast on WELS Radio station of Kinston, North Carolina.

In 1994, Word of Truth Anointed Ministries began working with Bishop Levy Brown Sr. of New Birth Church of Christ Ministries of New Bern, North Carolina as an outreach ministry. They joined the ministry and worked there under Bishop Brown’s leadership as associate ministers until 1999. God dealt with Bishop Brown to release Wilbert and Sandra to begin their own work. The New Birth Church Family has always been a blessing and very supportive of Word of Truth Anointed Ministries.

In 1994, Wilbert and Sandra also met Bishop Eugene and Ollie Reeves of New Life Anointed Ministries International of Woodbridge, Virginia through Sandra’s sisters, Nancy and Carol. Out of this meeting a friendship and fellowship developed.

In 1999, Wilbert and Sandra were led of the Lord to establish their home in Greenville, North Carolina and to seek a place to establish his pastoral ministry. Word of Truth Anointed Ministries became incorporated on January 19, 1999. After a few years of seeking God for direction, God led Pastor Williams to 1005 Hamilton Street in August 2003 to establish the church. The first service was held on September 21, 2003, and the message was “ We have a work to do”. During this service, one soul got saved and the Odie family became their first members.

On October 31, 2003 Wilbert Williams was ordained as Pastor of Word of Truth Anointed Ministries with Bishop Eugene Reeves officiating.

In August 2006, God opened a door for the ministry to move into a larger facilty. Word of Truth Anointed Ministries relocated to 102 Eastbrook Drive. They were blessed to minister to many souls, perform weddings, baptisms, dedications and outreach events for nine years.

In August of 2015, God opened an even bigger door and the ministry relocated to 7227 Stantonsburg Road in the great town of Farmville, North Carolina. Our first service was on September 20th 2015. We are truly humbled that the Lord has saw fit to place us here in this fertile vineyard. Thank you Lord
